Partnership Spotlight | Murrells Law

At Recycle it Global (RIG), we believe that the strongest partnerships are built on trust, shared values, and a real understanding of one another’s ambitions. That’s why we’re proud to shine a spotlight on our trusted legal advisors, Murrells Law, and celebrate everything they do for us.

Murrells are more than just legal advisors – they’re an integral part of our team. They take the time to really understand our business: the challenges we face, the opportunities we’re pursuing, and the finer details that shape the bigger picture. With Murrells in our corner, we know we have people who are genuinely invested in helping us achieve our goals.

From navigating the complexities of property site acquisitions, leases, wayleaves, easements and commercial negotiations to providing expert advice on corporate governance, and stakeholder agreements, the Murrells team has been instrumental in our journey so far. Their deep expertise across commercial, corporate, commercial property, hospitality, intellectual property, and renewable energy law means they help us tackle complicated challenges with straightforward, practical advice – always in plain English and always with a clear, transparent approach to pricing.

A special thank you goes to David and Caroline, who work tirelessly to support us. Their dedication, knowledge, and responsiveness have been invaluable, helping us in particular with:

  • RIG Newquay – expertly managing the multi-party coordination required to progress the acquisition of our newly built aggregate recycling facility.  The site  presented multiple legal hurdles  that needed to be cleared satisfactorily before the lease can be granted.  Their guidance has been instrumental in ensuring a smooth legal process as we progress this site.
  • RIG Plymouth – our largest acquisition to date.  Buying the former Aggregate Industries cement plant at Pomphlett Jetty in Cattewater Harbour, Plymouth, , involved extensive negotiations with the Duchy of Cornwall to take over running of the  Jetty itself.  We have grand, but achievable plans to  develop the currently derilict site into a modern port and construction facility, which will also house RIGs head office.
  • RIG Scorrier – our acquisition of a new 40 year lease of the former T.H. Douce & Sons waste transfer site at Scorrier, Redruth. This was quickly followed by documenting consents for our new substation and the miles of cabling needed to connect the site to the grid.
  • Contractual Due Diligence – reviewing and advising on supplier, logistics, and client contracts to ensure robust commercial protection.

Murrells’ commitment to ethical business practices aligns perfectly with our own values. As a proud B Corp certified company, they share our passion for making a positive impact – not just in business but in the broader community too. As a Cornish business ourselves, we’re proud to champion and support other outstanding local businesses like Murrells, whose professionalism and ethos represent the very best of Cornwall.
